BOURNEMOUTH'S Georgia Hall bogeyed four of the final five holes as she hit trouble on the first day of the Women's British Open.

The former Curtis Cup star shot a five-over-par 77 in largely favourable conditions at Woburn Golf Club.

With a weighty score in the bank, Hall is likely to have to excel tomorrow if she is to make the cut.

The 20-year-old struggled to hit greens in regulation throughout but hustled well to remain level for the first eight holes.

However, she missed a putt for par by millimetres on nine and after battling to remain at one-over for the next four holes, her struggle became tougher.

The ex-Oakmead College pupil sunk three bogeys in a row at the 14th, 15th and 16th holes and a misjudged chip at the last cost her another stroke.
