DETECTIVES are investigating after a robbery in Blandford which left store staff shaken.

A man with a metal bar threatened a staff member and demanded money from the safe at the Central Store in Heddington Drive.

The incident occurred on April 27 at around 8.40pm.

Now, officers have released CCTV of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

Detective Inspector Andy Marsh, of Dorset County CID, said: “This must have been a very distressing incident for the staff member involved and I want to reassure members of the public that we are carrying out a detailed investigation into this incident.

“I am releasing CCTV images of the suspect and while I know that his face is not clearly visible, I hope that it may jog someone’s memory or somebody may recognise him from the clothing he is wearing.

“I would urge anyone with information about the man’s identity to please contact Dorset Police.

“We are also keen to hear from any witnesses who have not already spoken to us, as well as anyone who may have captured relevant home CCTV, doorbell camera, or dashcam footage from around the time of the incident.”
